Our First Update
Groups, SMS & more
When we released the first version of Confide 4 weeks ago, we knew it was just the beginning. We’ve been hard at work on some new features, and today we are happy to announce our first feature update, Confide v1.1.
Group Messaging
You can now use Confide to send confidential messages to multiple people. Even better, the app will now automatically group people together that you frequently Confide with to provide one tap access to group messaging.
Send via SMS
We want to enable people to send confidential messages to everyone they know. You’ve always been able to send messages to anyone via their email address, but now you can also send confidential messages to anyone via their phone number.
Type any phone number (or select it from your contact list) when composing a message, and you’ll send them a text message inviting them to join Confide. Upon signup, your message will be waiting for them in their inbox — you will also receive a push notification when they join and read your message.
Speed & More Languages
We are constantly trying to make Confide faster, and we’ve optimized a lot to make this release extremely fast. If you have a large address book, you should notice considerable improvements, and everyone will notice speedups when sending messages and with overall UI responsiveness.
We want to get Confide in the hands of everyone, and now the app is translated in a total of 14 languages: English, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Spanish, German, Italian, French, Japanese, Russian, Korean, Swedish, Turkish, Portuguese & Arabic.
We’re on a mission to build the off-the-record messenger for professionals, and we’re just getting started. Confide v1.1 is available on the App Store now, so go get it and start communicating honestly.
