Introducing Confide for Android
Our goal at Confide is to enable professionals to engage in more genuine, unfiltered and efficient communication. We think it is crazy that what you say (the spoken word) disappears after it is spoken but what you write online remains forever, archived in your permanent, digital record. Today, 100 days after launch, we’re excited to announce the next step toward our goal — Confide for Android.

The nice thing about launching your product on a second platform is that you can make it better than the first. Which is exactly what we did. Confide for Android has all of the same features as iOS:
- Messages are end-to-end encrypted for privacy
- Messages disappear forever after they’re read
- Messages are read by “swiping”, which prevents screenshots
- Messages can be sent to any email address or phone number
- Read receipts notify you when your messages have been read
- Messages can be sent to individuals or groups
- Support for 14 languages
… and some new ones:

- Share Emails via Confide: Confide is included in the phone’s “Share” options to more seamlessly integrate Confide with Email and other platforms from anywhere on the phone

- Faster and superior design: Improved navigation and the ability to send and receive messages more quickly
- Notification Flexibility: Push, read receipts, ringtones and other notifications can be modified in Settings
Confide for Android is compatible with Android Gingerbread and above. We will be bringing many of these new features to iOS soon.
With over half of our downloads coming from overseas and Confide being used in over 110 countries, Confide for Android has been the most requested feedback we have received to date.
If you’re an Android user, let us be the first to say welcome to Confide. Or, maybe more accurately: bienvenue, bienvenido, benvenuti, willkommen or valkommen. And if you’re an iOS user, you can now invite and send messages to all of your friends and colleagues who use Android phones.
