When we launched Confide a little over a year ago our mission was to bring off-the-record communication to the digital world. We wanted to allow professionals and business people to communicate freely and confidently, without fear of the Internet’s permanent, digital record; the Cloud and its “all things, everywhere” approach; prying eyes; leaks; hacks and other vulnerabilities of digital communication. Our vision was to build a platform that would allow people to digitally communicate what they had historically only been comfortable saying on the phone or in-person. And we wanted to be ubiquitous — on all platforms, across all devices, supporting multiple forms of media, spanning all countries, and integrated into all relevant systems.

And today, when the need for off-the-record communication has never been greater, we move another large step closer to this vision.

Introducing Confide 3.0 for iOS and Android:

Documents

Confide is now the only platform that lets you send end-to-end encrypted, disappearing and screenshot-proof documents. Documents can be attached from Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, OneDrive or any other document storage app. Confide allows you to send Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents that can only be viewed once and can’t be saved, printed, forwarded or screenshot. In fact, our patent-pending technology pre-processes a document on the sender’s phone and sends it using a proprietary format, ensuring the recipient can only view it once. And we have adopted our “wanding” reading experience to ensure that only a small portion of the document can be viewed at a time, while including features such as pinch-to-zoom and scrolling to see more detail. This approach preserves privacy and prevents screenshots.

Photos

Like documents, Confide now allows you to send end-to-end encrypted, disappearing and screenshot-proof photos. Quickly snap a photo from your camera or select one from your photo library to share confidentially and ephemerally. And just like with documents, we have optimized the “wanding” reading experience to protect against screenshots, ensuring that only a small portion of the photo can be viewed at a time.

Send a new photo, one from your library or even a screenshot of an email you’ve received. After it has been read once, it is gone forever — no copies, no forwarding, no screenshots … no nothing.

Confide is now included in the phone’s “Share” options to more seamlessly integrate Confide with email and other platforms. Simply tap the Confide icon to send a photo or document you received in an email, Dropbox, Slack or any other sharing app via Confide.
